Music Mondays: Bailando (Enrique Iglesias feat. Sean Paul, Descemer Bueno, & Gente De Zona)

From last week’s funk groove, let me take you to a Latin tune this time, which has gotten me shaking my whatevers for days. It can be danced Flamenco style, Cumbia style, or street. A few videos I saw used the Spanish version for Zumba. It has that kind of flexibility. Why shouldn’t it? Bailando is dance in Spanish. So yeah, it should live up to its name.

There’s also the Spanish version, which I like better because it shows more choreography than the English version.

Dance is universal. It is not restricted by anything, not even language.

Music Mondays: Uptown Funk (Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars)

A song that anyone will move their bodies, even your grandparents! And if you have the swag and the right kind of groove, then the dance will be worth watching.

There are a lot of videos on YouTube that use this song but the official music video is fun enough not to put in here. In case you haven’t watched it, then you’d be 325,995,+++th who’ll be watching it.

Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars

If you’re like me, you would have probably asked “Who/where is Mark Ronson?” He’s the guy riding the slow moving car. If you know who he is, then you might have commented that the song is more Bruno Mars than Mark Ronson. Well, a Google search showed me that Mark Ronson is a musician, DJ, singer, and record producer and that the Uptown Funk is one that “features Bruno Mars vocals”1. So maybe it’s the musician/DJ/record producer, not the singer, in Mark Ronson that was in play in this song. Maybe.

I think this song will become a classic, don’t you think?

As an added bonus, because I can’t get enough of it, here’s a neat choreography of Uptown Funk by none other than, Mega Jam:
