Elbow Flirting (by Wong Fu Productions)

A video a like to share because I like the animation and background music. Most of all, I like the nostalgia it brings of childhood and of childhood crushes. The simple and innocent things we go through when we were growing up.

The video is by Wong Fu Productions, among the many video sketches and shorts they’ve made that I like. But this one takes the cake because it made me switch to a different window immediately just to blog about and share it. It’s the same with the things I write about that are not scheduled. Because those things, the ones that make you get up and do something whatever the reason, are special. And I believe this one is, too.

Elbow Flirting – Awksome Adventures #2

Music Mondays: Anaconda (Nicki Minaj)

As promised in yesterday’s post, today I’m featuring Nicki Minaj’s Anaconda. Apparently, I first heard this, a portion of the song from my boyfriend singing “My anaconda don’t! My anaconda don’t! My anaconda don’t want none I guess you got buns, hun!” It just sounded strange and he didn’t elaborate so I left it at that. Weeks later, I heard the verse and the whole song over the radio. Oh! So that’s what it is!

I like the melody. It’s catchy, good to dance to, walk/jog to, and the chorus part is fine. Other than that, I’d like to remain silent. Suffice it to say, I won’t be linking the video the here. Instead, I foraged the YouTube and found three choreography that I really liked that featured Anaconda. I hope you like them as well.

The first is by Jasmine Meakin (a.k.a. Mega Jam)

This next one is by Emily Sasson

The last is by Jeffrey Caluag and Dimitri Mendez. I especially like the speed of their movement here and first thought that it was on fast forward. Haha! The quality is not as good but if you want the better quality but longer, you can find it here.

What’s your Music Monday?

From Top to Bottom

We’re all about butts now?

Between Bubble Butt to Anaconda, there are many different shades of booty now. Somehow I thought, we’re done with boobs? Without going into much discussion and as an off tangent segue, the Billboard Hot 100 with female artists dominating the Top 5 (Yey Girl Power!) got me answering my own questions: Yeah, we’re done with it, now we’re into butts.

We have:

  1. Meghan Trainor’s All About That Bass, which I featured almost a month ago;
  2. Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off, which I will soon feature;
  3. Bang Bang by Jessie J., Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj, which I also featured on Music Mondays;
  4. Nicki Minaj’s Anaconda, which I will feature tomorrow; and
  5. Iggy Azalea’s Black Widow feat. Rita Ora.

Majority of the Top 5 talked about, referred to, showed some, and primarily featured the bottom half of the anatomy. And we haven’t even talked about J. Lo’s Booty, our very own predecessor of the big butt (not as big now in comparison). I’m sure there are still other butt songs out there. Maybe it’s the twerking that started it, I don’t know. I don’t know how to twerk so I’m just saying.

Are you are boobs or butt person?
